Kendra Gaylord is the host, creator, and producer of Someone Lived Here.
After countless tours of historic homes, Kendra wanted to let more people know about these cool places and the even cooler people who once lived in them.
Kendra is a digital strategist who has worked for media institutions like Boston Globe Media and Complex Magazine.
Kendra also co-hosts a podcast called, Two Degrees of Peri Gilpin with Ken Williams. Each week they discuss the latest in movies and television, while somehow connecting it back to Peri Gilpin, who played Roz from Frasier. The show is very different from Someone Lived Here, but if you really want to dive into Kendra’s psyche you can do it there.

A letter from Kendra:
Hi, I’m Kendra and I’m the host of the podcast, Someone Lived Here.
I started this podcast after a house tour last summer at the Alice Austen House.
Alice Austen was a woman who grew up in the 1860s, documented New York with thousands of photos, and was in a loving relationship with another woman for 50 years.
I had never heard of her.
Someone Lived Here is about learning the stories of the people who lived in places that we walk by every day.
Each episode we go to an old house, art studio, retirement home, or an occasional mansion and unravel the stories of people who once lived there. Many of these homes were lived in by inventors, artists, and other cool people who were not well-known in their lifetime or forgotten afterward.
Each episode has interviews with experts and historical research, but my hope is you hear a story that still resonates today.
I’m so excited for you to listen to this season, which you can do below or on any of your favorite podcast apps. Write a review on Apple Podcasts to help others find Someone Lived Here.
Thank you,
